Actually Conner, worms are a pretty good bait for goldens, as they are for all trout. You may want to try salmon eggs, but its pretty late in the season for them. Just make sure you let them eat the worms for a while. Hold your rod up to at least a 45 degree angle, so that you're able to feel it chomping on the worm. Then if they're still there, set the hook.

Just today its summer time, and i was using night crawlers to catch a palomino, one after another she stole my bait, they are quit the wise fish they are. im bound and detirmined to catch that golden. But it being summer time im not quite sure if there would be a better bait or not. The worms worked pretty good but im thinking if i should experiment and see what she'll grab more often, any suggestions?
